Photographing the Wedding.
What a great day to photograph the wedding of Andrew and Hayley at the exclusive romantic hide-away, West Tower, Aughton. The light was just right for a winter wedding. The Bride – Hayley – and her bridesmaids were excited and having there bridal preparation photos taken; whilst the groom – Andrew – and his grooms men were dressed and ready to begin the wedding day.
The couple had the ceremony at St. Peter and Paul’s Church, in Crosby, Liverpool which is only a short drive to West Tower.
West Tower Photographs.
We have been to West Tower, in Aughton, photographing weddings many times over the years. Some with church services and some with services in the ballroom of the venue. Each time we have created something different for each bride and groom. The possibilities for photographer are endless and change with the seasons, weather and light. The view west over the fields can be a great backdrop on a clear day with views of the Lancashire coast in the distance – and are particularly stunning with a winter sunset. Looking at the historic building and grounds – these are very elegant and atmospheric in the bright golden light of winter. The steps leading up from the gardens to West Tower are a ready made setting for a full group photo and the throwing of confetti.
West Tower can accommodate over 150 people, the magnificent ballroom with steps leading in, is a superb photo opportunity as the couple enter for their first dance! The evening was really exciting and great photos where taken. Everyone was up dancing to the music and saxophone player.
What a wonderful and special wedding to be part of, and a total joy to capture all the memories for the newlywed couple. We can’t wait to return again soon for another wedding to photograph. Big thank you to Steph, Sue and all the team at West Tower Manor House. The gallery below is just a small selection of photos from their day.
