Pre wedding photos

Toni and Luke are local to us, and are eagerly counting down the days to their wedding in Aughton.
The day was warm and sunny with great lighting for their pre wedding photos – St Catherine’s church ruins (also known locally as Lydiate Abbey) was the perfect setting for a perfect photo shoot.
We are now awaiting their wedding day, and are looking forward to documenting the day as it unfolds – a story in photographs – such a great couple to be with.

West Tower Manor House – Wedding

fantastic sunset

Photography at the West Tower Manor House

A Wedding at the West Tower Manor House is great, but we are biased as the venue is local to us. I think many people would agree, that West Tower Manor House is simply stunning. Any day of the week at any time of year. If you’re looking for a photographer who knows the venue and how to get the best out of what it has to offer, we do! Our photography is creative in style, but documentary in our approach.
We cover the usual family photos, signing the register, cutting the wedding cake and first dance, but go a little deeper and capture emotions, relationships and moments. These moments are the essence of every wedding and what makes every wedding unique. Will and Holly, they had their ceremony at St Luke Church, Formby, Merseyside. From there, it was a short drive in the wedding car to the venue in Aughton.

West Tower Manor House Wedding Photographer

We have been to West Tower Manor House, as wedding photographers many times in the past few years. Every time there is something different, the lighting changes, the weather changes, the seasons change. Each time we have managed to create something different for our couple.
The possibilities for photography at any point of the compass are endless and change with the seasons and the weather. The view west over the fields can be a great backdrop on a clear day, with fantastic views of the sunset. Looking back east towards the building and grounds, there’s plenty of space for throwing confetti and the trees provide shade which is great for photos on really sunny days.
There are great locations at West Tower Manor House to get those group photos of family, bridesmaids and ushers both indoors and out. The steps to the building provide a ready made setting for a full group photo and there’s enough paving for those who aren’t keen on standing on the grass.

Evening Celebrations.

West Tower can accommodate over 150 people, the magnificent ballroom with steps leading in, is a superb photo opportunity as the couple enter for their first dance! The evening is a really exciting time, where great photos are taken. Both Will and Holly and all their guest were up dancing to the music and having a fantastic time.

What a wonderful and special wedding to be part of, and a total joy to capture all the memories for the newlywed couple. We can’t wait to return again soon for another wedding to photograph. Big thank you to Steph, Sue and all the team at West Tower Manor House.

Peruga at Woodheys – Wedding Photography

Wedding Photography at the Peruga at Woodheys, near Stockport is great, a fantastic venue in the picturesque High Peak district. I don’t think many people would disagree that the Peruga, with its stunning views and a sweeping lawns is simply stunning. Any day of the week at any time of year. If you’re looking for a photographer who knows the area and how to get the best out of what this venue has to offer, we do! Our photography is creative in style, but documentary in our approach.

We cover the usual family photos, signing the register, cutting the wedding cake and first dance, but go a little deeper and capture emotions, relationships and moments. These moments are the essence of every wedding and what make every wedding unique. Simon and Gemma, they had their ceremony at St. Mark’s Church, Woodley. From there, it was a short drive in the wedding car to the venue in Woodheys, near Stockport.

Peruga, Wedding Photographer

We have been to Peruga at Woodheys, previously, but not as wedding photographers. This time the setting was the same but the occasion was special. Some weddings have a church service and some with services at the venue. Each time we have managed to create something different for our couple.
The possibilities for photography at any point of the compass are endless and change with the seasons and the weather. The view west over the fields can be a great backdrop on a clear day, with views over the moors towards Manchester in the sunset. Looking back towards the building and the sweeping lawns, there’s plenty of space for throwing confetti and the trees provide shade which is great for photos on really sunny days.
There are great locations at the Peruga to get those group photos of family, bridesmaids and ushers. The steps up from the lawns to the building provide a ready made setting for a full group photo and there’s enough paving at the front of the building for those who aren’t keen on standing on the grass.

Evening Celebrations.

Peruga at Woodheys can accommodate over 100 people, the magnificent restuarant with steps leading in and panoramic views over the countryside is a superb photo opportunity as the couple enter. The evening is a really exciting time, where great photos are taken. Both Simon and Gemma and all their guest were up dancing to the live music and having a fantastic time.

The West Tower Wedding

Wedding Photography at The West Tower

Photographing a wedding at the West Tower, in Aughton is a great experience. West Tower Manor House is a venue local to us, and is simply stunning. Regardless of the time of year, a photographer can achieve great photographs from the many aspects this venue has to offer. To the west, there are great views towards Liverpool and beyond. The well kept and mature gardens provide a great back drop for the bridal couple – whilst the stairs leading up to the outside terrace is great for group photographs and the ritual of throwing confetti. Inside, the splendid ballroom, is ideal for candid photography during the speeches and later in the evening, the bridal couples First Dance and the celebrations afterwards.

Wedding Photography – Ashfield House Standish

p

Ashfield House Standish Wedding Photography

After searching for a venue thats was right for them, Alix and Ash finally chose Ashfield House . Ashfield House Standish, is an elegant exclusive wedding venue close to the county boundary of Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Merseyside. The venue has gone through a major transformation since our last wedding there. The owners have carried out an extensive renovation. The house is now a fabulous and exclusive wedding and event venue, creating quite a buzz in the northwest wedding scene. Together with the beautifully laid out gardens, Ashfield House provides great photographic opportunities to take magical pictures both inside on a out.
On first meeting Alix and Ash you can see how much they are in love and their love for their two girls shines through. Meeting up with Alix and her girls at Ashfield House on the morning of the wedding was sure to be fun as their two girls were joining in the bridal preps too.
Ash got ready at home around the same time – so two photographers meant we were able to fully capture both bridal and groom preparations in a relaxed environment, surrounded by the people they love. The florist, Nancy Moon was already decorating the sweeping staircase at Ashfield House. It looked spectacular.

The Ceremony

Alix and Ash were having a civil service in the Langtree Suite, and as a present to the couple, Ash’s mum also decorated the interior of the Ashfield House. The whole place was decked in flowers.
During the day, there were lots of laughter and lots of tears. All types of emotions which make a wedding day unique. Just what we love to capture throughout the whole Wedding Day.
We are able tell the whole story of the day – the moments seen and the many more unseen.

The celebrations

After the ceremony, we had plenty of time to capture impromptu photographs of the guest enjoying the wedding day. The weather and gardens were perfect to capture family photos and more intimate portraits of the couple. After the wedding breakfast we had the Singing Waiters another photo opportunity.

“We have had a look at our recent weddings and found some exciting  and emotional photos to show you all…Here is a refresher of Alix and Ash’s wedding earlier in the season, just a small collection of moments.”

If you would like to tell us more about your Wedding Day and find out more of how our unique style of working maybe just what your looking for, please give us a call on 07910621134, or get in touch and we can have a chat about your wedding day.

We were invited along with their other preferred suppliers to capture the beautiful new decor, with its gorgeous new furnishings, in complimentary warm tones. We also took the opportunity to shoot some images in the ballroom and outside too. Hard Days Night Hotel – Liverpool

Mathew Street Liverpool

Photography at Hard Days Night Hotel

Matty and Sarah are so much  fun – their wedding day was just full of excitement (even during the vows)  The obvious choice for their wedding was The Hard Days Night Hotel, in Liverpool town centre. www.harddaysnighthotel.com… Sarah grew up in the heart of Liverpool and Matty is a huge Beatles fan. He is also part of a very successful band called The Generals, although if you check out their website you may not recognise him at first glance thegenerals .

After first meeting Sarah’s parents, and then Matty and Sarah, we knew their day would be so relaxed and full of fun and they wanted pictures to reflect the day and their personalities. They just loved the style of our previous weddings at Hard Days Night Hotel and over the following months we had many discussions, sharing ideas etc. – this included a trip to The Cavern www.cavernclub.org  – the place was extra busy but the customers and the staff made us  very all welcome. I am sure their guests will remember this wedding for a very long time  – we certainly will.

Big thanks to Jayne and Jeff who have always made us feel very welcome and to Matty and Sarah – for so many memories…Also thanks to Charlene and the staff at Hard Days Night Hotel. – who always provide a first class service.
